Saurabh Kumar Suman Posted to Horticulture and Food Processing Department

Saurabh Kumar Suman, a 2011-batch IAS officer, has been appointed Financial Commissioner-cum-Commissioner-cum-Director of the Horticulture and Food Processing Department in Bhopal, according to the order dated June 17, 2026. He moves from his earlier post overseeing the Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Department, where he also held additional charges as Commissioner of Scheduled Caste Development and Managing Director of the MP State Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation. Those responsibilities pass to Satendra Singh under the same order. Suman's appointment to Horticulture and Food Processing places him in a department focused on agricultural value-addition and food processing infrastructure. His move triggers a further change: Arvind Kumar Dubey, a 2012-batch officer who had been holding the horticulture post as an additional charge, will be relieved of it once Suman takes over. The order was signed by Chief Secretary Anurag Jain on behalf of the Governor.
