SCOPE and Harvard Business Impact Launch ManageMentor Leadership Programme for Public Sector Executives
SCOPE, the apex body representing India's central public sector enterprises, has launched the Harvard ManageMentor programme for PSE executives in partnership with Harvard Business Impact, with the launch led by SCOPE Director General Atul Sobti and Harvard Business Impact India Managing Director Sumit Harjani.
Members of SCOPE's Executive Board attended the launch, including Ayush Gupta, Director (HR) at GAIL, Dr Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel) at POWERGRID, and Sangeeta Ramrakhyani, Director (HR) at Central Warehousing Corporation, reflecting representation from several major public sector enterprises in the programme's rollout.
Harvard ManageMentor is a digital leadership development platform comprising 42 interactive modules covering areas including strategic thinking, change management, communication, and artificial intelligence, now made available to public sector executives through SCOPE's coordination with Harvard Business Impact.
The programme has drawn more than 5,000 participants since launch, according to figures shared by the organisers, indicating substantial early uptake across India's public sector enterprise workforce for a structured digital leadership training resource of this kind.
SCOPE functions as the coordinating body for India's central public sector enterprises on matters including executive development, industrial relations, and policy advocacy, and partnerships of this kind with international business education providers form part of its broader mandate to strengthen managerial capacity across the public sector.
Public sector enterprises have periodically sought external leadership development partnerships to supplement their internal training infrastructure, given the scale of executive development needs across India's roughly 250 central public sector companies spanning diverse sectors from energy to manufacturing.
The programme's rollout is being coordinated through SCOPE's member enterprises, with individual PSEs responsible for enrolling eligible executives from within their own organisations.
