Securing India's Energy Lifeline: MT Nanda Devi Arrives at Vadinar for Crucial LPG Transfer

Guided by the strategic vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, India continues to safeguard its vital energy supply chains against the backdrop of global uncertainties. In a major operational milestone, the mother vessel MT Nanda Devi has successfully docked at the Vadinar anchorage in Jamnagar.

The vessel brings a massive cargo of 46,500 Metric Tonnes (MT) of LPG. A critical Ship-to-Ship (STS) transfer of this fuel to the receiving vessel, MT BW Birch, is scheduled to commence today. Highlighting the importance of this operation, Shri Sushil Kumar Singh, IRSME, Chairman of the Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), personally boarded the MT Nanda Devi. During his visit, he facilitated the initial processes and interacted closely with the Captain and crew members, reinforcing the nation's unwavering commitment to maintaining a robust and uninterrupted energy flow.
