Tamil Nadu Carries Out Sweeping Transfer of 17 IAS Officers

The Tamil Nadu government has announced the transfer and fresh posting of 17 IAS officers across a wide range of departments. Gagandeep Singh Bedi has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department, while Mrs P Amudha takes on the same rank in the Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection Department. Sathyabrata Sahoo is posted as Principal Secretary to the Water Resources Department, Shunchonngam Jatak Chiru heads to the Public Works Department in the same role, and Anil Meshram takes charge as PS, Energy Department. Dr Vallalar becomes Secretary of the Transport Department; K S Palanisamy heads the Revenue and Disaster Management Department; V Dakshinamoorthy takes charge of the Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Department; Sajjan Singh Chavan moves to the Youth Welfare and Sports Development Department; and Prashant M Wadnere is posted as Secretary for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj. Arun Sundar Dayalan is appointed as Inspector General of the Registration Department, while G Lakshmipathy joins as Joint Secretary in the Finance Department. At the civic level, T Anand is posted as Commissioner of the Chennai Corporation Water Supply and Sewerage Board; Dr G S Sameeran heads the Greater Chennai Corporation as Commissioner; and Dr M Aarthi becomes Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women. Dinesh Ponraj Oliver takes charge as MD of the Water Supply and Sewerage Board, and Rahul Nadh has been appointed as Secretary of the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority.
