Tamil Nadu Reassigns Two Senior IPS Officers in State Police Reshuffle
Tamil Nadu transfers two senior IPS officers: Dr A Amalraj to Greater Chennai Police Commissioner and Abhin Dinesh Modak to Crime Branch, CID, Chennai.
The Tamil Nadu government has effected transfers of two senior Indian Police Service officers in a fresh round of realignments within the state police force. Dr A Amalraj has been elevated to the position of ADGP and Commissioner of Police, Greater Chennai, taking command of policing in one of India's largest metropolitan cities. Abhin Dinesh Modak, meanwhile, moves into the role of ADGP, Crime Branch, CID, Chennai, with oversight of the state's criminal intelligence functions.
