Uttar Pradesh Reshuffles Nine Senior IPS Officers in Major Redeployment

The Uttar Pradesh government has carried out a sweeping reshuffle of nine senior Indian Police Service officers, redistributing key responsibilities across the state's law enforcement and security apparatus. Jai Narayan Singh takes charge as Director General of Police, Economic Offences Wing (EOW), while Dhruv Kant Thakur has been posted as DGP and Commandant General of the Home Guard, with the added charge of DGP, Civil Security. Binod Kumar Singh steps into the role of DGP, Criminal Investigation Department (CID), with additional responsibilities as DGP, Cyber Crime and DGP, Dial-112. Alok Singh has been assigned as DGP, PAC Headquarters, also holding additional charge of DGP, Special Protection Force. In zonal assignments, Mrs Anupam Kulshrestha has been appointed as ADGP, Kanpur Zone, while A Satish Ganesh takes over as ADGP, Directorate of Traffic and Road Safety, with the added charge of ADGP, Crime. Further, Dr R K Swarnkar has been posted as ADGP, UP Power Corporation in Lucknow; S K Bhagat assumes charge as ADGP, Agra Zone; and Mrs Gita Singh has been named Inspector General of Police (IGP), Directorate of Training.
