Tamil Nadu Reshuffles 15 IPS Officers Across Key Police Postings
Tamil Nadu reshuffles 15 IPS officers with new postings at DGP, IGP, DIG, and SP levels, including two fresh SP promotions.
The Tamil Nadu government has announced the transfer and fresh posting of 15 IPS officers, bringing new leadership to several key commands across the state. G Venkataraman has been appointed as DGP, Civil Supplies CID, while K Bhavaneeswari is posted as IGP, Singapenn Special Force, and Avinash Kumar will serve as IGP in the Office of the DGP/HoPF. At the IGP and DIG level, Praveen Kumar Abhinapu moves to IGP, North Zone, Chennai; A Saravana Sundar takes charge as IGP, Crime, Chennai; J Mahesh is posted as DIGP, Vellore Range; and P Vijaya Kumar becomes DIG and Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order, South) in the Greater Chennai Police. Among SP-level postings, Abhishek Gupta heads to Thoothukudi, S Brinda to The Nilgiris, I Shahnaz to Kallakurichi, S Aravind to Kancheepuram, and Allatipalli Pavan Kumar Reddy to Coimbatore. K Karthikeyan is posted as DCP (Law and Order) Tambaram. Two officers have also been promoted to the rank of SP — V Satish Kumar, posted as SP Thiruvarur, and Ravindra Kumar Gupta, posted as SP Pudukkottai.
