A significant reshuffle among top-ranking police officials in West Bengal has led to the transfer of three senior IPS officers. Siddh Nath Gupta has been elevated to the role of Director General & Inspector General of Police (DG & IGP) in-charge. Meanwhile, Ajay Mukund Ranade has been assigned the critical portfolio of Additional Director General for Law and Order (ADG L&O). In another major move, Ajay Kumar Nand has been named the new Commissioner of Police for Kolkata.
