A group of twenty-six IPS officers from the 1998 batch across various cadres have been empaneled for ADG-level positions in the GoI.

The Government of India has approved the empanelment of 26 IPS officers from the 1998 batch for Additional Director General (ADG) and ADG-equivalent posts. The list includes officers from diverse cadres such as Mahesh Chandra Laddha (AP), Malothu Ramulu Naik (Bihar), Amit Kumar (Chhattisgarh), Patel Piyush Purusottam Das (Gujarat), and Piyush Mordia (UP), among others. This empanelment clears the way for their promotion to top-tier leadership roles in central police and security organizations.
