Two New Members Appointed to Rajasthan Public Service Commission

The Rajasthan government has appointed Prof. Dr. Santosh Anand and Dr. Deepak Kumar Sharma as Members of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), Ajmer. The appointments bring fresh academic and professional expertise into the state's central recruitment body. The RPSC, which conducts examinations for entry into various Rajasthan state services, relies on members with diverse domain knowledge to design assessments and evaluate candidates across disciplines. Academic appointments to the Commission are common, as experts from educational institutions can contribute to the rigour and fairness of the selection process. Both appointments come at a time when the RPSC is under pressure to restore public confidence in its examination systems. The Commission has faced criticism in previous years over alleged paper leaks and recruitment irregularities, making the calibre and independence of its members a matter of public interest. Prof. Dr. Santosh Anand and Dr. Deepak Kumar Sharma will now join the body tasked with handling competitive exams for state civil services, accounts services, and other administrative posts in Rajasthan.
