Ajay Kumar Pradhan Gets Extension as ADRM, Tinsukia

Ajay Kumar Pradhan, presently Additional Divisional Railway Manager of the Tinsukia division on Northeast Frontier Railway, has been granted an extension of tenure for one year. He is an officer of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers.

The Tinsukia division covers railway operations across Northeast Frontier Railway's easternmost stretches in Assam, a region where engineering challenges from flooding and landslides during the monsoon make divisional continuity in leadership particularly relevant to maintenance planning.

As an IRSE officer, Pradhan's background is in railway civil engineering, the cadre responsible for track infrastructure, bridges and construction works — core functions of the ADRM's charge in a division with significant terrain-related maintenance demands.

Northeast Frontier Railway has been working to improve disaster resilience along sections prone to landslides, a programme that intersects directly with the engineering oversight responsibilities that fall under the Tinsukia ADRM's office.

Tenure extensions for ADRMs are typically granted to preserve continuity in ongoing infrastructure works, particularly where ongoing flood-mitigation or track-strengthening projects would otherwise face disruption from a mid-project change of charge.

Pradhan will continue to oversee the division's engineering and maintenance priorities through the upcoming monsoon season, a period when Northeast Frontier Railway's eastern divisions typically see the highest demand on civil engineering resources.

The extension is for a period of one year, as per the order.
