Ms Neelima Singh Gets Extension as ADRM, Lucknow

Ms Neelima Singh, presently Additional Divisional Railway Manager of the Lucknow division on Northern Railway, has been granted an extension of tenure for one year. She is an officer of the Indian Railway Traffic Service.

The Lucknow division is one of Northern Railway's busiest, handling a mix of long-distance passenger traffic and freight movement through Uttar Pradesh's capital, making operational continuity at the divisional level relevant to train scheduling and punctuality.

As an IRTS officer, Singh's background is in railway operations and traffic management, the cadre responsible for train scheduling, crew management and freight movement — the core operational functions overseen by an ADRM.

Northern Railway's broader modernisation drive has included upgrades to passenger amenities and digital ticketing infrastructure across its busier divisions, changes that fall within the administrative ambit of the ADRM's office at Lucknow.

Tenure extensions of this kind allow a division to retain operational leadership through a planning cycle rather than handing over charge mid-way through ongoing capacity and scheduling initiatives.

Singh will continue to oversee the Lucknow division's traffic operations, including coordination with adjoining divisions on through-running of trains across Northern Railway's network.

The extension is for a period of one year, as per the order.
