Amit Pathak Appointed as Inspector General of National Security Guard
Amit Pathak, 2007-batch IPS officer from UP cadre, appointed IG of the National Security Guard on deputation.
Amit Pathak, a 2007-batch IPS officer from the Uttar Pradesh cadre, has been appointed on deputation as Inspector General (IG) of the National Security Guard (NSG). The NSG, popularly known as the Black Cats, is India's premier counter-terrorism and special operations force. Pathak's posting to the elite force is seen as recognition of his operational expertise and suitability for leading high-stakes security operations at the national level.
