Arun Pandey Appointed Chhattisgarh's New PCCF and Head of Forest Force
IFS officer Arun Pandey takes over as Chhattisgarh's PCCF and HoFF, succeeding V. Srinivasan Rao who retires on May 31, 2026.
Arun Pandey, a 1994-batch officer of the Indian Forest Service, has been named as Chhattisgarh's new Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force. He succeeds V. Srinivasan Rao, who is scheduled to retire on May 31. Pandey's elevation to the state's top forestry post comes at a time when Chhattisgarh is navigating complex challenges relating to forest conservation, tribal land rights, and sustainable resource management. His extensive experience in the IFS is expected to lend continuity to the state's forest governance priorities during the transition.
