Ashish Chugh Inducted as SP in CBI on Four-Year Deputation

Ashish Chugh has been appointed as Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Central Bureau of Investigation for a deputation term of four years. Chugh belongs to the 2015 batch of the Indian Telecommunication Service (ITS), marking his transition to one of the country's most prominent investigative bodies. While ITS officers primarily function within the telecommunications domain, their induction into the CBI reflects the agency's increasing reliance on officers with technical and regulatory backgrounds, particularly in cases involving digital fraud, spectrum allocation disputes, and technology-related offences.
