New Delhi, June 13, 2026: The Department of Personnel and Training has notified a fresh batch of IAS, IPS, and IRS postings spanning multiple central ministries.

Niraj Verma, IAS (1994 batch, Assam-Meghalaya cadre), Secretary in the Department of Justice, has been given additional charge as Secretary in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs from June 13 to June 19, 2026 — covering the absence of incumbent Nikunja Bihari Dhal.

The notifications also cover a lateral transfer of an IAS officer, the curtailment of an IPS officer's deputation at the Election Commission of India, and the repatriation of an IRS officer to their home cadre. A Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has been granted a two-year tenure extension beyond June 23, 2026.

DoPT issues such orders on a rolling basis to manage staffing across central ministries and ensure no post remains without an officer in charge.
