Coal India Limited has promoted 28 civil executives from E5 Manager to E6 Senior Manager grade and ordered inter-subsidiary transfers as of May 5, 2026, strengthening its senior engineering leadership across the company's network of subsidiaries.

In a significant administrative move, Coal India Limited has promoted and posted 28 executives from the civil discipline across its various subsidiaries, as per an official order issued on May 5, 2026.

The list of promoted officers includes Sudhir Kumar Jena, Anil Kumar Yadav, Kumar Shashank Deo, Pradeep Kumar Dwivedi, Rajesh Kumar, Prashant Kumar Jaiswal, Vikas Kumar, Sanjay Singh, Sunil Manohar Bhaskar, Satish Kumar Sinha, Paramjeet Singh, Arkajyoti Chatterjee, Rahul Banerjee, Abhishek Kumar, Gaurav Kumar Tiwary, Abhinav Dixit, Madhavendra J. Vats, Shivam Gaurav, Prashant Kumar, Khushwant Singh Markam, Vivek Kumar, Yakkanti Srinivasa Reddy, Ravi Shanker Dubey, Mohan Lal Kumawat, Subhrajyoti Sahoo, Dheeraj Kumar Thakur, Mantosh Kumar, and Avijit Das.

According to the order, the promotions take immediate effect from the date of issuance. Notional pay fixation will also be counted from the same date, while actual financial benefits will be released only after the officers formally assume charge at their respective new postings.

The company has laid down strict compliance timelines, directing all transferred executives to report to their new assignments within 60 days. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of the promotion and potential debarment from the next promotion cycle.

Additionally, all promoted officers will be placed on probation for a period of one year or until their superannuation, whichever comes earlier. Future postings and role allocations will be determined by the competent authority based on organizational requirements.
