DANIPS Officers Get New Postings in Delhi

DANIPS officers have been given new postings in Delhi. Hukma Ram Sai has been posted as DCP, HQ-II & VPP Cell, while Ishan Bhardwaj is now DCP, SG, HM, Court Cell & PHQ.

Pankaj Sood has been posted as DCP, Supreme Court Security, Jai Pal Singh as ACP, HQ, and Rohit Gupta has been transferred to the PM Cell — five officers moved together in a single headquarters-level reshuffle order.

DANIPS, the Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Police Service, supplies officers to Delhi Police's middle-management ranks, often serving as the operational link between the force's specialised units and its broader administrative machinery.

The Supreme Court Security charge that Sood takes up is a sensitive posting responsible for coordinating security arrangements at India's apex court, distinct from the general law-and-order postings most DANIPS officers cycle through.

DANIPS officers posted to headquarters-level coordination roles such as the PM Cell and HQ-II often serve in liaison functions, working between Delhi Police's specialised cells and the wider administrative structure overseeing the capital's law and order.

The five postings, covering charges from court security to VIP protocol and headquarters coordination, reflect the range of administrative functions DANIPS officers are routinely rotated through within Delhi Police.

All five postings take effect as per the order issued by Delhi Police headquarters.
