Two IPS Officers Shifted in Delhi

Two IPS officers have been shifted in Delhi Police. Jitendra Mani, a 2016-batch officer, has been appointed DCP, Prosecution Cell, while Ms Sulekha Jagarwar, a 2022-batch officer, has been posted as Additional DCP, PM Cell.

Delhi Police's Prosecution Cell coordinates between investigating officers and public prosecutors to strengthen case preparation ahead of trial, while the PM Cell handles matters related to VIP security coordination at the headquarters level.

Mani, with a decade of service since joining the IPS in 2016, takes on the DCP-rank Prosecution Cell charge, a post that typically goes to officers with prior experience in district or unit-level investigative roles.

Jagarwar, from the more recent 2022 batch, is posted to the Additional DCP rank in the PM Cell, an early-career posting that gives junior IPS officers exposure to headquarters-level coordination work in Delhi Police.

Delhi Police's district and cell-level postings are reviewed periodically by the force's establishment board, which weighs both seniority and an officer's prior performance record before finalising routine reshuffles of this kind.

The postings reflect the routine rotation through which Delhi Police moves officers between district, unit and cell-level charges as part of its ongoing administrative reshuffles.

Both postings take effect as per the order issued by Delhi Police headquarters.
