Delhi Police Overhaul: Nine IPS Officers Appointed to Key Leadership Roles
Major reshuffle in Delhi Police sees nine IPS officers assigned new roles as Special Commissioners across key divisions like Law & Order, Crime, and Traffic.
In a major revamp of the capital's law enforcement leadership, nine Indian Police Service (IPS) officers have been assigned new portfolios in Delhi. Neeraj Thakur and Devesh Chandra Srivastava have been appointed as Special Commissioners of Police (Spl CP) for Law & Order Division Zones II and I, respectively. David Lalrinsanga takes charge as Spl CP for Operations (PR & Communication). Other key appointments include Manish Kumar Agarwal heading the Traffic Division, Ajay Chaudhary leading the Protective Security Division, and H S Dhaliwal taking over the Crime branch as Special Commissioners. Additionally, Atul Katiyar (Vigilance), Vijay Kumar (Armed Police), and K Jegadesan (Intelligence Division) have been appointed as Special Commissioners in their respective domains.
