Bihar Government Carries Out Extensive IAS Reshuffle Across Departments
Bihar carries out a sweeping IAS reshuffle, assigning senior officers to key roles in road construction, IT, education, mines, and divisional administration.
The Bihar government has carried out a wide-ranging reshuffle of Indian Administrative Service officers, redistributing responsibilities across the state's key administrative departments and divisions. K Senthil Kumar has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary of the Labour Resources and Migrant Workers' Welfare Department, while also retaining additional charge of the Backward Classes and Backward Classes Welfare portfolio. Pankaj Kumar Pal takes over as Secretary of the Road Construction Department, and Abhay Kumar Singh steps in as Secretary of the Information Technology Department. Mayank Varwade has been posted as Commissioner of the Patna Division, while Dinesh Kumar takes charge as Commissioner, Kosi Division (Saharsa), with additional responsibility for the Purnia Division. Prem Singh Meena has been assigned as Commissioner, Munger Division, also holding additional charge for Bhagalpur Division. Anshul Kumar, who was serving as a District Magistrate, has been relieved of his additional charge as Commissioner, Purnia Division. On the secretariat front, Dharmendra Singh joins as Secretary of the Sugarcane Industry Department, and Deepak Anand takes charge of the Food and Consumer Protection Department. Vinod Singh Gunjiyal has been given additional charge as Secretary for both Education and Sports Departments, while Avneesh Kumar Singh becomes Secretary and Commissioner of the Mines and Geology Department, with additional charge of Managing Director of the Bihar State Mineral Development Corporation. Himanshu Sharma steps in as Secretary-in-Charge of Science, Technology, and Technical Education, and Shrikant Kundalik Khandekar along with Gunjan Singh have been appointed as Joint Secretaries in the Chief Minister's Secretariat. Shubham Kumar takes up the role of Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-CEO of the District Council, Patna, and Kaushal Kishori has been assigned additional charge as Managing Director of Bihar State Electronics Development Corporation (BELTRON).
