B Kasiviswanathan Returns to Parent Cadre from Cochin Port Authority
B Kasiviswanathan of the IRSME cadre has been prematurely repatriated from Cochin Port Authority to his parent cadre to avail a promotion.
B Kasiviswanathan, who was serving as Chairperson at the Joint Secretary level with the Cochin Port Authority under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre. The move has been initiated to enable Kasiviswanathan to avail the benefits of a promotion within his home service. He is a 1992-batch officer of the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME), one of the premier technical services under the Indian Railways. The early repatriation reflects a standard procedural step undertaken when officers become eligible for career advancement that is best utilised within their originating cadre rather than on central deputation.
