Mansi Verma, an officer of the Indian Railway Personnel Service presently serving with Northern Railway, has been appointed Director at the National Recruitment Agency, Delhi, under the Department of Personnel & Training, for a period of five years.
The National Recruitment Agency was set up by the central government to conduct the Common Eligibility Test, a single preliminary examination that replaces separate exams previously conducted by different recruiting bodies for non-gazetted posts across multiple central government departments and public sector undertakings. It functions under the administrative control of the Department of Personnel & Training.
Verma's background is in the Indian Railway Personnel Service, the central service responsible for personnel and human resource management functions across the Indian Railways network, including recruitment, service matters and establishment work for railway staff. Her posting with Northern Railway, one of the largest zones in the network by route length and staff strength, would have given her direct experience handling large-scale personnel administration before this central deputation.
