NLC INDIA LIMITED LAUNCHES ANNUAL “BUTTERMILK DISTRIBUTION” INITIATIVE TO PROVIDE SUMMER RELIEF TO NEYVELI RESIDENTS

From its inception, NLC India Limited (NLCIL) has strived to carry out welfare activities for the community at large in every possible way.

Continuing this legacy, NLCIL has officially launched its annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to distribute "Neer Mor" (spiced buttermilk) to the public. The program, designed to provide hydration and heat relief to commuters and residents, will be operational across five key locations in Neyveli. The initiative was inaugurated at the Neyveli Arch Gate Bus Stand by Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of NLC India Limited. In his address as Chief Guest, Shri Motupalli emphasized the company’s commitment to community welfare. Later, he personally distributed buttermilk to the public. He was joined by Shri Samir Swarup, Director (Human Resources), and Shri DVS Narayana Murthy, Executive Director (Legal, Medical, and CSR). To ensure wide accessibility, the distribution was simultaneously launched at four other major hubs - Central Bus Stand which was Inaugurated by Shri Jasper Rose, Executive Director (Mines), at Pudhukuppam Bus Stand inaugurated by Shri Pankaj Kumar, Executive Director (HR), at Block 29 Bus Stand Inaugurated by Shri Anbuchelvan, Executive Director (P&BD) and at the Mandarakuppam Bus Stand which was inaugurated by Shri Rajmohan, Executive Director (SME, Conveyor, Transport, Mine-III & MPLT). The buttermilk will be supplied daily in partnership with the Milk Producers’ Cooperative Society (Aavin), whose representative Shri V. Arunagirinathan, General Manager, also participated in the event at the NLCIL Arch gate. The entire program was coordinated by the dedicated team of Engineers & Managers from the CSR Department. This effort aims to provide relief from the summer heat with a refreshing and nutritious beverage and is expected to benefit thousands of people. Apart from Buttermilk, NLCIL will also provide purified Drinking Water in the stalls.
