Former IAS Officer O P Gupta Joins Maharashtra Lokayukta as Member

O P Gupta, a former IAS officer of the 1992 batch, has been appointed a Member of the Lokayukta in Maharashtra, the state's statutory anti-corruption ombudsman institution.

The Lokayukta in Maharashtra has the authority to investigate allegations of corruption and maladministration against public functionaries, including ministers and officials, and functions independently of the state government to ensure accountability in public administration.
