Sanjay Jaju Set to Take Over as Telangana Chief Secretary After Repatriation
Repatriated 1992 batch IAS officer Sanjay Jaju is set to become Telangana's next Chief Secretary after returning from his central deputation.
Senior IAS officer Sanjay Jaju is widely expected to be appointed the next Chief Secretary of Telangana following his repatriation to his parent cadre. A 1992 batch IAS officer of the Telangana cadre, Jaju had been serving as Secretary in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region at the Centre. His return to the state now places him in a strong position to assume the state's top bureaucratic post. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has cleared Jaju's repatriation, bringing him back to Telangana at a time when the state is engaged in substantial administrative and developmental activity. Telangana's Chief Secretary is a central figure in coordinating government schemes, managing the state bureaucracy, and interfacing between the elected government and the administrative machinery. Jaju's background includes significant experience at the Centre, which will be an asset as Telangana seeks to attract investment, manage infrastructure development, and navigate relations with central agencies. His seniority within the 1992 batch places him among the most experienced IAS officers in the cadre, making the Chief Secretary role a natural next step.
