Tamil Nadu Government Transfers Seven IPS Officers in Major Police Reshuffle
Tamil Nadu reshuffles seven senior IPS officers across key positions including Madurai IGP, Railways IGP, and Greater Chennai Police roles.
The Tamil Nadu government has carried out a significant reshuffle of its police leadership, transferring seven IPS officers and assigning fresh postings to two who had been on the waiting list. Among those moved, Kapil Kumar C Saratkar (IPS-2002) shifts from IGP/Additional Commissioner of Police, Headquarters and Traffic, Tambaram Commissionerate to IGP Madurai. Abhisekh Dixit (IPS-2006) moves from IG Madurai to IGP Railways, Chennai. Dr J Longanathan (IPS-2002) transitions from a waiting posting to IGP Technical Services, Chennai. Dr R Thirunavukkarasu (IPS-2010) has been posted as DIG Tirunelveli range, while P Pakalavan (IPS-2009) is now DIG/Joint Commissioner, Traffic, South Greater Chennai Police. Disha Mittal (IPS-2010) moves from DIG/Joint Commissioner, Traffic, North Greater Chennai to DIG/Joint Commissioner, Law and Order, West Greater Chennai. Bandi Gangadhar (IPS-2011) has been transferred as Chief Vigilance Officer of Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Ltd.
