Tamil Nadu Reshuffles Six IAS Officers Across Key Departments
Tamil Nadu carries out a six-officer IAS reshuffle, placing senior officials in IT, agriculture, textiles, cooperatives, social security, and investment roles.
The Tamil Nadu government has reassigned six senior Indian Administrative Service officers to new positions spanning critical sectors of the state's administration. Pradeep Yadav has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary for Information Technology and Digital Services, positioning him at the forefront of the state's digital governance agenda. Dr P Shankar joins as Agriculture Production Commissioner and Secretary for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare — a crucial role given Tamil Nadu's agrarian significance. T N Venkatesh takes charge as Principal Secretary of the Handlooms, Handicrafts, Textiles, and Khadi Department, supporting the state's traditional industries. Mrs G Latha has been posted as Registrar of Cooperative Societies, overseeing the state's extensive cooperative network. Mrs B Gayathri Krishnan assumes the role of Director for Social Security Schemes at the Office of the Commissioner of Revenue Administration and Disaster Management. Deepak Jacob will head GUIDANCE — the state's nodal agency for investment promotion — as its MD and CEO, a pivotal role in driving Tamil Nadu's industrial and economic growth.
