Tamil Nadu transfers 14 IPS officers at ADGP and IGP rank, reshuffling commands across Chennai, Madurai, Tiruppur, Salem, and coastal security.
The Tamil Nadu government has effected transfers of 14 IPS officers holding the ranks of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) and Inspector General of Police (IGP), bringing changes across several key commands within the state's police structure. Ayush Mani Tiwari, who served as Chief Vigilance Officer (ADG) at Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO), has been moved to Additional Director General of Police at Headquarters. S. Rajendiran, who was IGP and Commissioner of Police, Tiruppur City, has been transferred to take charge as IGP and Commissioner of Police, Madurai City. Kapil Kumar C. Saratkar, earlier serving as IGP and Commissioner of Police, Madurai City, has been shifted to IGP and Additional Commissioner of Police, Law and Order (North), Greater Chennai Police. Pravesh Kumar, who held that North Zone post in Greater Chennai, has moved to IGP, Coastal Security Group, Chennai. S. Rajeswari moves from IGP, Crime against Women and Children, Chennai to IGP, Tiruppur. Anil Kumar Giri shifts from IGP and Commissioner of Police, Salem City to IGP, CID, Chennai. G. Karthikeyan, previously IGP and Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Greater Chennai Police, moves to IGP, Social Justice and Human Rights, Chennai. Dr. B. Shamoondeswari, who was at the Social Justice and Human Rights posting, has been directed to take charge as IGP and Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Greater Chennai. A.G. Babu moves from IGP, Modernisation to IGP and Additional Commissioner of Police, Headquarters, Greater Chennai. K. Joshi Nirmal Kumar transitions from IGP and Additional Commissioner of Police, Headquarters, Greater Chennai to IGP and Commissioner of Police, Salem City. P.C. Thenmozhi moves to Additional Commissioner of Police, Central Crime Branch, Greater Chennai. A. Radhika, previously at Central Crime Branch, shifts to IGP, Administration, DGP/HoPF, Chennai. C. Mageshwari, who held the Administration post at DGP/HoPF, has been transferred to IGP, Special Investigation Cell-I, Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Chennai. A.T. Duraikumar moves from that SIC-I role to IGP, Establishment at DGP/HoPF, Chennai. The reshuffle redistributes senior police leadership across traffic management, criminal investigations, vigilance, coastal security, and urban law and order — key operational areas for a state as large and economically active as Tamil Nadu.
