Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan takes over as Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Indian Navy's Western Naval Command.
Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan has assumed charge as the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command, one of the Indian Navy's three principal operational commands. His takeover follows the elevation of Admiral Krishna Swaminathan to the post of Chief of Naval Staff. Vatsayan's appointment ensures seamless continuity of command at the Western Naval Command, which oversees India's strategic maritime interests in the Arabian Sea and the western coastline.
