West Bengal Reshuffles 13 IPS Officers; New CPs for Barrackpore and Bidhan Nagar
West Bengal has reshuffled 13 IPS officers, appointing new Police Commissioners for Barrackpore, Bidhan Nagar, Howrah, and Chandan Nagar.
The West Bengal government has executed a reshuffle involving 13 IPS officers. Key appointments include Praveen Kumar Tripathi as Commissioner of Police (CP), Barrackpore, Murli Dhar as CP, Bidhan Nagar, and Akash Magharia as CP, Howrah. Additionally, Dr. Koteswara Rao takes over as CP, Chandan Nagar. Other significant postings include Amit P Javalgi as IGP, Burdwan Range; Mukesh as IGP, Murshidabad & Jangipur Range; and Gaurav Lal to the CID. The reshuffle also places Syed Waquar Raza, Kankar Prosad Barui, Shyam Singh, Alok Rajoria, Bhaskar Mukherjee, and David Ivan Lepcha in various DIG roles.
