Assam Govt Relieves IAS Pallav Gopal Jha of Additional Charges of JICA Water Project

The Assam government has relieved Pallav Gopal Jha, a 2012-batch IAS officer, of his additional charges as Project Director of the JICA Assisted Guwahati Water Supplies Project, Managing Director of the Guwahati Jal Board, and Project Director of the Assam Urban Infrastructure Investment Program. Jha continues to hold his substantive posting as Secretary to the Government of Assam across the Science, Technology & Climate Change Department, the Social Justice & Empowerment Department, and the Implementation of the Assam Accord Department, along with additional charge responsibilities in those areas. The relief order follows the assignment of these three water-project-related additional charges to another officer, Rohan Kumar Jha, as part of the same round of administrative changes. The order was issued by the Assam government and takes immediate effect.
