Rohan Kumar Jha Given Additional Charge of PD, JICA Guwahati Water Project

Rohan Kumar Jha, a 2015-batch IAS officer serving as Secretary to the Government of Assam in the Barak Valley Development Department and Project Director of the Assam Resilient Rural Bridge Program, has been given additional charge as Project Director of the JICA Assisted Guwahati Water Supplies Project. Jha will also hold additional charge as Managing Director of the Guwahati Jal Board and as Project Director of the Assam Urban Infrastructure Investment Program, alongside his existing responsibilities. The JICA-assisted water project is a Japan International Cooperation Agency-funded initiative aimed at expanding Guwahati's piped water supply network, one of several externally funded infrastructure programmes currently running in the state. The additional charges were assigned by the Assam government and take immediate effect, pending a permanent appointment to the posts.
