CONCOR Extends Narmadeshwar Jha's Deputation as GM Mumbai Cluster Through August 2028
IRTS officer Narmadeshwar Jha gets deputation extension as GM Commercial & Operations, CONCOR Mumbai Cluster till August 30, 2028.
Narmadeshwar Jha, an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer, has been granted an extension of his deputation tenure with Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR), where he serves as General Manager (Commercial & Operations)/Cluster Head, Mumbai. The extension covers the fourth and fifth year of his deputation, keeping him in the role until August 30, 2028. Prior to his assignment with CONCOR, Jha served as Deputy Chief Operations Manager (General) at Central Railway. His background in railway traffic management and operations has been a valued asset at CONCOR, where the Mumbai cluster is among the most commercially significant, handling high volumes of international and domestic container movements. CONCOR's Mumbai operations are closely linked to the city's port infrastructure, including the Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNPT), one of India's busiest container ports. The Cluster Head role involves coordinating the movement of container traffic across multiple ICDs in the region and managing commercial relationships with shipping lines, logistics companies, and exim traders. The decision to extend Jha's tenure reflects CONCOR's preference for administrative continuity at a critical operational hub. His extended tenure through mid-2028 will allow him to see through ongoing capacity expansion initiatives and commercial strategy reviews underway at CONCOR's Mumbai cluster, positioning the organisation to handle growing throughput volumes at the country's busiest container gateway.
