GNFC Re-Engages Pankaj Purohit as Executive Director on Contract Basis

Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (GNFC) has re-engaged veteran executive Pankaj Kanaiyalal Purohit as Executive Director on a fixed-term contractual basis, effective June 12, 2026, according to a regulatory filing submitted to stock exchanges. Purohit, who retired from the company on May 31, 2026 after over 36 years of association, has been brought back for an initial period of six months. The tenure may be extended by an additional six months at the discretion of the Managing Director. During his long career with GNFC, Purohit held key operational roles across the Nitrophosphate Project, BSD, TDI-II Process at Dahej, Steam and Power Generation, and Urea plants. In his final assignment before retirement, he oversaw the overall operations and maintenance of the TDI-II Dahej site and several support functions including Design and Consultancy, Laboratory and R&D, Civil Maintenance, Fire and Safety, and Medical Centre. A Chemical Engineer from Dharamsinh Desai University in Nadiad, his re-engagement is intended to ensure continuity and leverage deep operational expertise during a critical phase. The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015.
