Haryana Government Transfers Seven IPS Officers

Haryana government has transferred seven IPS officers, with three SP-rank postings made into the state's Anti-Terrorism Squad, an order shows.

Haryana Government Transfers Seven IPS Officers

The Haryana government late on Friday transferred seven IPS officers in a single order covering postings tied to the state's Anti-Terrorism Squad and district policing charges.

Pankaj Nain (IPS HY:2007), Special Officer for Community Policing and Outreach in the Chief Minister's Office, has been given additional charge of Commissioner of Police, Panchkula. Nazneen Bhasin (IPS HY:2007), IGP, Bhondsi, has been given additional charge of IGP, Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS).

Three officers move directly into the ATS: Lokinder Singh (IPS HY:2014), previously SP, Security CID, Panchkula, becomes SP, ATS; Upasna (IPS HY:2017), previously SP, CID, becomes SP, ATS; and Varun Singla (IPS HY:2017), previously SP, Security, CID, also becomes SP, ATS.

Shristi Gupta (IPS HY:2021) moves from DCP, Panchkula, to Assistant Inspector General (AIG), Welfare, at Police Headquarters, while Aditi Singh (IPS HY:2021), previously SP, State Vigilance Bureau and Anti-Corruption Bureau, takes over as DCP, Panchkula.

The clustering of transfers into the Anti-Terrorism Squad points to a strengthening of the unit's officer strength, with three SP-rank postings made into ATS in the same order.

The transfers take effect immediately, as per the order issued by the Haryana home department.
