Prabhuling Kavalikatti Gets Concurrent Charge of MD, Mysuru Paper Mills

Prabhuling Kavalikatti, Deputy Commissioner of Shivamogga district and a 2013-batch IAS officer of the Karnataka cadre, has been given concurrent charge of Managing Director, Mysuru Paper Mills Limited, according to a state government order.

Mysuru Paper Mills is a Karnataka state government undertaking engaged in paper manufacturing that has faced periods of financial strain in recent years, requiring close administrative oversight from the state's IAS cadre.

Kavalikatti will continue as Deputy Commissioner of Shivamogga, a district administration post responsible for revenue, law and order coordination and development programme implementation, while additionally overseeing the paper mill's management.

Concurrent charge arrangements of this kind allow state PSUs facing leadership gaps to keep functioning under an experienced administrator without requiring an immediate standalone appointment.

The order takes effect immediately, as issued by the Karnataka government.
