Shradha Shukla's IAS Cadre Moved from Telangana to Madhya Pradesh on Marriage Grounds

The cadre of IAS officer Shradha Shukla has been transferred from Telangana to Madhya Pradesh, following her marriage to IAS officer Aishwarya Verma. A 2022 batch officer, Shukla's cadre shift is processed under the central government's spouse posting policy for All India Services officers. The move brings Shukla into the Madhya Pradesh cadre, which is one of the larger state cadres within the IAS and covers a state with diverse administrative demands — from tribal welfare and forest management to agriculture, infrastructure, and law and order. For a recently probated officer, the Madhya Pradesh cadre offers broad exposure during the early years of service. Inter-cadre transfers on marriage grounds are relatively routine in the IAS but require careful processing to ensure the receiving cadre has the capacity to absorb the officer without displacing existing cadre seniority. Shukla's regularisation in the MP cadre will follow once the necessary administrative procedures are completed.
