Tamil Nadu Intelligence Wing Restructured: Nine IPS Officers Receive New Postings

The Tamil Nadu government has issued new postings for nine Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, primarily focusing on the state's intelligence and security apparatus. Dr. G Dharmarajan assumes the role of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Intelligence (Security) in Chennai, alongside Pakerla Cephas Kalyan, who becomes DIG of Intelligence (Internal Security), and P Saravanan, newly appointed as DIG of CID Intelligence. The reshuffle also includes the appointments of several Superintendents of Police (SP) in Chennai: G K Uddhavrao (Organized Crime Intelligence Unit), A Myilvaganan (Special Branch CID), Dr. C Madhan (Security Branch CID, SP-I), K Shanmugam and G S Madhavan (both Security Branch CID, SP-II), and N Silambarasan (Special Division, Special Branch CID).
