Uttar Pradesh has transferred two IAS and six PCS officers, with V. Hekali Zhimomi appointed as Principal Secretary of the Forest Department.
Lucknow, June 15, 2026: The Uttar Pradesh government transferred two IAS officers and six Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officers on Sunday, appointing V. Hekali Zhimomi as Principal Secretary of the Forest Department.
Zhimomi takes charge of a department that manages over 16,000 square kilometres of recorded forest land across UP, overseeing conservation, wildlife protection, timber royalties, and the implementation of central schemes including the Green India Mission.
The six PCS officers have been posted to district and departmental roles. PCS officers handle revenue administration, land records, and welfare scheme disbursements at the sub-divisional level — functions that directly affect rural residents across the state's 75 districts.
The transfers are part of UP's pre-monsoon administrative rotation, which typically aligns officer postings before the June-September season when flood management and relief operations demand stable district leadership.
