IPS Officer Ravindra Singh Yadav Assumes Charge as DGP of Andaman & Nicobar Islands

Ravindra Singh Yadav, a 1995-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the AGMUT cadre, has been appointed as the Director General of Police (DGP) for Andaman & Nicobar Islands, as part of a reshuffle that also saw the transfer of incumbent officer Hargobinder Singh Dhaliwal to Delhi. Yadav's appointment to the top police post in the Union Territory comes with immediate effect, placing him in charge of the law enforcement machinery across the strategically significant island archipelago. The transition is expected to bring fresh administrative momentum to the islands' policing and security framework.
