Tamil Nadu Reshuffles 15 IPS Officers; New Postings Across Chennai, Trichy, Tiruppur and Other Districts

The Tamil Nadu government has carried out a large-scale reshuffle of fifteen IPS officers, assigning them to various positions across the state's police administration. D Kannan has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Headquarters and Administration, Tambaram. A Velmurugan joins as SP/AIG, Modernisation, at the Office of the Director General of Police and Head of Police Force, Chennai. G Stalin has been posted as DCP, Central Crime Branch, Tambaram, while D Ramesh Babu will take charge as Superintendent of Police (SP), Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), Chennai. V V Geethanjali has been posted as DCP, Crimes Against Women and Children, Greater Chennai — a unit that handles sensitive cases under various special legislation. P Sundaravadivel will serve as DCP, Security, Greater Chennai. R Ramesh Krishnan takes charge as DCP, North, Tiruppur City, while K Maheswari has been posted as DCP, Redhills, Avadi. R Uthayakumar will head as SP, Tiruvannamalai District. Among other appointments, A C Karthikeyan has been posted as DCP, Adyar, Greater Chennai. Kunal Uttam Shrote has been promoted to the rank of SP and posted as DCP, Koyambedu, Greater Chennai. Three officers received promotions alongside their new postings: Anshul Nagar, promoted to SP rank, has been posted as DCP, West, Tirunelveli City; Arpita Rajput, also promoted as SP, has been posted as SP, North Zone, Crime Branch, CID, Chennai; and Banavath Arvind, promoted to the SP rank, has been posted as DCP, North, Trichy City.
