CBIC Reshuffles Two Senior Customs Commissioners in Fresh Posting Orders
CBIC transfers two senior Commissioners: Dinesh Boudh to CBIC Coordination and Amol Madhukar to DGHRD I&W Delhi.
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has effected a transfer of two senior officers serving in the grade of Commissioner of Customs and Indirect Taxes, in its latest round of administrative reshuffling. As per the new orders, Dinesh Boudh has been assigned to the post of Commissioner, Coordination, at CBIC headquarters, a key role responsible for inter-departmental liaison and policy implementation across the board's vast field formations. The coordination portfolio is a critical function within CBIC, ensuring alignment between various field offices and the central administration. Meanwhile, Amol Madhukar has been posted to the Directorate General of Human Resource Development (DGHRD), Intelligence and Welfare (I&W) division, based in Delhi. The DGHRD plays a vital role in training, capacity building, and welfare activities for personnel across indirect tax and customs departments. The postings are part of CBIC's routine administrative exercise aimed at optimising manpower deployment and ensuring that experienced officers are placed in roles where their expertise can be most effectively utilised. Such transfers within the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) ecosystem are a regular feature of the board's human resource management strategy. Both Boudh and Madhukar bring considerable field experience from their respective tenures as Commissioners, and their new roles are expected to benefit from their hands-on knowledge of customs and indirect tax operations. The CBIC, functioning under the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, oversees customs administration, GST enforcement, and central excise functions across India. These transfers reflect the board's ongoing efforts to maintain a dynamic and responsive administrative structure that aligns with the evolving demands of indirect tax governance in the country.
